Eurobodalla Shire Council approves licence renewal of New Year's Day Moruya rodeo event

 Despite public opposition and the personal feelings of some local government representatives, a New South Wales council has renewed a five-year licence for a rodeo event. 

Eurobodalla Shire Council received 1,818 public submissions between December 2022 and January this year as it considered the application to renew the licence for the New Year's Day rodeo at Moruya.

During the process, the council was forced to consider an overwhelming number of submissions against the renewal that were from outside the Eurobodalla region.
