Canberra man found guilty of threatening partner with chainsaw released on good behaviour bond
A 48-year-old man who was caught on CCTV threatening his partner with a chainsaw has been released by the ACT Magistrates Court, after being sentenced today.
The man was in court on charges of common assault and threatening to kill another person.
He pleaded guilty to both charges but will not have to spend more time in jail after having already served 76 days in custody.
The court today heard that the man had also grabbed his partner's neck and forced her to the ground before punching her three times.
