Canberra records 52 Covid cases, two deaths on the first day of eased restrictions
Canberra has experienced its ‘toughest day’ of the Covid-19 outbreak with a record 52 new cases and two deaths recorded.
The two deaths were both in their 80s at the Calvary Haydon Retirement Community, and were receiving end of life care from the palliative care team.
Chief Minister Andrew Barr said 40 new cases were linked, although 12 remain under investigation.
